Key Strategic Areas
Reading Across Curriculum
MOI teachers develop reading guides and organize library tours. Monthly displays and book recommendations teach students LAC reading strategies.
Language Rich Environment
English printings outside classrooms, school publications in English, and daily language activities create immersive learning spaces.
Teacher Development
Professional training courses, classroom observation, and collaborative material development enhance teaching competence in MOI subjects.
Student Engagement
Large-scale events, challenge days, drama classes, debating training, and international study tours foster active language use.
LAC Activities
Our Language Across Curriculum (LAC) program offers a diverse range of activities designed to immerse students in language learning through engaging, interactive experiences, both inside and outside the classroom.
F.1 Bridging Course
A summer program to prepare new F.1 students for English as the Medium of Instruction, focusing on core language skills.
Spellathon
A fun and challenging event for all forms, promoting spelling accuracy and expanding students' active vocabulary.
F.1 Spelling Bees
An exciting competition to enhance vocabulary and spelling proficiency among F.1 students, fostering a love for words.
LAC Posters
Student-created posters across various subjects, showcasing their understanding and creativity in English.
F.1 Math Project
Integrates language learning with mathematics, encouraging students to articulate complex concepts and problem-solving strategies in English.
F.2 Science in Action
Hands-on science experiments in F.2 where students learn scientific concepts while developing their English communication skills.
F.1 Tai O Cultural Excursion
An enriching field trip for F.1 students to Tai O, allowing them to experience local culture and practice descriptive language skills.
Mini Book Fairs
